I’m not comparing slavery to the exploitation and slaughter of animals, I’m saying the exploitation and slaughter of animals is slavery. Which it is.

Definition of slavery:

slav·ery

noun \ˈslā-v(ə-)rē\

: the state of being a slave

: the practice of owning slaves

Definition of slave:

slave

noun \ˈslāv\

: someone who is legally owned by another person and is forced to work for that person without pay

Nothing says “only humans” or “only black people” or “only black people who were sold as slaves during the trans-Atlantic slave trade”. Black people don’t have monopoly on the word “slavery”. So yes, by consuming animals you are supporting slavery.

but the point is that black people are still literally slaves in this country, so what are you doing about that???

(why do white people look up the dictionary definition of shit to prove their points?)

And animals are still ~literally~ (why the fuck would you use that word in this context?? are there people who are figurative slaves?) slaves today. What am I doing about things? I’d guess the same as you, except that I’m vegan. I can’t do much about black people who are slaves today, I live in a country (not “this” country, see, everyone doesn’t live in the US, I know it’s surprising) where the black population is very small, and I work and study full time with no extra money. I do what I can. What else am I supposed to do?

About the dictionary. Are you saying “slave” really means “black human slave”? “Slavery” really means “black humans being kept as slaves”? No, slave and slavery mean what they mean and I pulled the dictionary definition because you obviously didn’t know the meaning. Again, black people don’t have monopoly on that word. It’s not a slur and it doesn’t describe a specific event like “trans-Atlantic slave trade” does.

And stop with the “white people” bullshit. This isn’t about white or black people, it’s about the exploitation of non-human animals and I really couldn’t care less about what some apologetic “vegan” like you thinks about my blog.

exactly, you don’t live in the u.s. so you have no fucking idea how black people are treated here. our constitution literally states that you can’t be a slave UNLESS you’re incarcerated, and black people are literally incarcerated several times more than white people: what does that mean, audience? BLACK PEOPLE ARE LITERALLY STILL SLAVES IN THIS COUNTRY. so fuck off with your uneducated self, fuck off with your ignorance of history and current events, fuck off with your white privileged blindness, and fuck off with your prioritization of animal lives over human ones.

You’re not answering my question. You just repeated what you’ve already said several times.

I can ask you one more question, why are human lives more important than non-human lives? You give me a reason for that without mentioning intelligence (because lots of people aren’t intelligent either and we’re not mass murdering them), what we’ve done for thousands of years (because we’ve done lots of things for thousands of years, kept slaves for example), and without saying “BECAUSE I SAY SO DAMMIT!!!”.

Also, stop using the word “literally” when you can’t use it correctly.
